We've been absent from the blog for a while. I would promise to go back and fill in the holes, but I need to be realistic.
Today was the party for all kids with a February birthday in Gavin's class. This is the beginning of party season for this group, whose birthdays span February through August. There are three kiddos with February birthdays in Gavin's class: 2/23, 2/25, and 2/28. That's a lot of babies in a week.
Two weeks ago, Gavin had a rough week. Last week was better. Monday morning when I told him he'd have his school birthday party on Friday, he asked for a gift. I made the deal that if he earned his stickers each day, then he could have an Angry Birds toy. He's had a great week. We took the Angry Birds Star Wars Tatooine set to school, not knowing there were three kids with February birthdays--it could have been disasterous. However, Gavin was thrilled to show is new Angry Birds set to his friends. Everyone gathered around for show and tell.
Ms. Becky knows how to help the kids work up an appetite: a dance party!
Whew! Then it was time for ice cream!
