Last week, Ms. Lacie told me that Gavin took a few steps at school. We saw nothing until Wednesday night. While I was in Gavin's closet picking out his clothes for the next day, Gavin made a few tottery steps for Dave. Gavin has been turning loose of what he's holding on to and just standing quite a bit this week. Today while I was gone, Gavin made a few more steps. Then later, while Dave was gone, Gavin made two quick sideways steps for me. Just before bedtime, Gavin wowed us both with about 10 steps when Dave bribed him with a tortilla chip. (Some babies walk for TV remotes, mine walks for food.) We decided to get the video camera out. Of course, Gavin then got all shy on us. Since the tortilla chips worked once, Dave broke off a small piece and put it on the sofa arm. Worked like a charm.
The next time, Gavin crawled to it. But then, we did get him to totter once more.
Dean's coming to play tomorrow. Hopefully, Dean will appreciate Gavin's new trick.

This is so exciting that I can't stand it!!!!!! Grandma needs to visit to see this first hand!!! It's is too cute that that he walks for Doritos. I can't believe that he just started crawling a couple of months ago. We'll be seeing you soon!
