Matt, Lindsey, and Dean have moved to the Club! We're so happy to have them just over 2 miles away. Last Sunday, Dean came over for a few hours to play while Lindsey worked to get ready for the week at work after a long weekend of moving. The weekend before, Lindsey watched Gavin on Saturday morning so I could work interviewing at a job fair and so Dave could volunteer for local missions at the church. Gavin is very comfortable with Lindsey--he'll even leave me or Dave and reach out to her (even after his ooouie at school the other day). I love having Dean over because he shows me what Gavin is going to be doing next since he's about 4 months older.
At this age, the boys are mostly into parallel play, but there were a few moments when they were playing together. Dean was pushing the lawn mower and Gavin was in hot pursuit with his push toy. They both chose a window to bang on and yell while Dave was outside giving Mason a bath.
They share their love for carbs and took a break to eat some Ritz Bitz. This was my only dicey moment. Dave was in the shower. Dean was ready for a snack and tapping the booster seat to show me he was ready. Gavin was refusing to be put down. I finally decided to put G in the high chair while handing Dean Ritz Bitz. After their snack, it was back down for more playing. Gavin was a little jealous if either Dave or I were playing with Dean--imagine that.
I see lots of play dates and babysitting swapping in the future. Oh, and Dave and I like hanging out with Matt and Lindsey, too!
