I Think We'll Be OK

As all first time parents, Dave and I worry that we'll do everything that we need to. We worry if we'll be able to take care of Baby Mac when he cries. I worry if I'll be able to keep him away from drugs (it's the teens I deal with daily that ignite this fear).

This weekend, we worked on our gift registries for Baby Mac at the orders of a co-worker. While adding items to our registries online, I read product descriptions and reviews. While looking at the contents of a Johnson and Johnson toiletry set, I read this review.

The mom, a teenager aged 14-18, would recommend that Johnson & Johnson include "baby cologne" in the gift set. Baby cologne? Really? Hmmmm. Wouldn't you say that the baby lotion pretty much serves that purpose. And what exactly would baby cologne smell like? Baby lotion and baby oil?

Yeah, my self-confidence just improved. Given I am almost twice this girl's age, but come on. Really, I think Dave and I will be just fine.

  2. Baby cologne? Then you wouldn't be able to smell that wonderful BABY smell.

I know you two will be just fine. Your hearts are in the right place, and you care, which is a lot more than I see from some parents out there. Don't worry so much.

    Much love
