Jonas Turns One

While we were in Maine, we had a celebration for Jonas' first birthday.
Jonas has the cutest smile.
Jonas begins to eye the cake.
Jonas was teething and enjoyed gnawing on his fingers.
Finally, a big smile and a reach for the cake while we sang to him.
Jonas timidly digs into the cake and looks to see if it's OK.
Letha scoots to the other side to try to help Jonas get the icing on his hands to his mouth.

Jonas ate a bit of the cake. Letha pulled it away when things started to get messy. On Saturday, Jonas had another birthday party at Stone Mountain. I hear that he was much messier, wiping the icing on his legs. He'll get this eating with hands thing figured out soon.

I'm glad we were able to celebrate another momentous event while we were together in Maine.
