Dave and Pete met in the fall of 1995, as freshmen at Georgia Tech and pledges at Kappa Sigma. "Average" Pete from Iowa is anything but average. Weekends were started with a Friday evening trip to El Torro for Mexican food. followed by band parties and football on Saturday. When I brought cookies or cupcakes on weekends, I always made sure to find Pete, Durovy, and Amro for their part of the homecooked goodness. Graduation came in 2000, and Pete joined the Air Force, twice journeying to the Middle East. Boxes filled with peanut butter bars, cornflake candy, Christmas lights, and other pieces of home were shipped to Pete. Pete was a groomsman in our wedding and has even visited us in Austin.
We were thrilled when we heard the news of his engagement to Lisa. We were honored to go celebrate their wedding in Washington, D.C. Pete and Lisa, we wish you a marriage filled with all the desires of your hearts and hope that you will find joy in the daily activities of building a home and a life together.
